CARAVAN ACCOUNTANCY AND TAX SAVINGS SERVICE

Dear Caravan Owner,

I work from home with low overheads, so I can afford to be one of the cheapest accountants available. I believe that you will find my charges extremely competitive. With my free estimate, I will advise you of my current charge - until then you are not committed in any way.

I set up, after becoming a caravan owner myself, to provide the best and most professional tax service to caravan owners. I seek to maximise the refunds they can obtain from the Inland Revenue or, even if they are so successful in letting their caravans that no refund is possible, to minimise any tax they must pay. I now have two caravans myself on separate sites, so can empathise with my fellow hirers.

Personally, I have received back from the tax man refunds of £2,000 and £1,800; I can't divulge my successes with customers, as I consider that such information is a matter of confidentiality.

I have strict ethics on the confidentiality of everything told me by my clients and how successful I have been on their behalf.

I feel it would be wrong to expect a potential client to commit themselves blind, so I offer a free estimate of the amount of any refund that I believe I can obtain. I do not ask any client to commit until they have the result of this estimate. Should the client wish to proceed, I then ask them to sign the Inland Revenue Agency form and remit the fee at this point. The Inland Revenue refund goes straight to the clients bank account, usually within a week of my submission.

I am not VAT registered and have taken a decision on principal, not to reach the VAT thresh-hold, where I would have to register. This ensures that my clients do not have to pay VAT.

I am a Fellow Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians with nearly 40 years experience. As such I can offer you a professional service based on my personal experience in many accountancy fields. I, of course, have the expertise of this body available should it be required.

I came to specialise in caravan tax when I had problems obtaining the right advice, even from the local Inland Revenue themselves. As a result, I carried out considerable research and found that caravan tax was a very grey area.

Nationally, the Inland Revenue set up a consultation web-page and I have been keeping up to date with this, to obtain the latest information in this area. I have considerable expertise in reading Government technical literature, as part of my accountancy experience has been in the public sector. I have, however, had private sector experience at a very senior level as well.

My initial intention was to provide a mobile tax service but have had difficulty in obtaining a foothold on the sites.

However, as a result, I have turned to providing, as the next best option, my services through the internet, where I can provide a rapid response to my customers. However, to those customers who do not have email access, I am quite happy to provide the service by post.

I should stress, however, that each clients claim is unique to that client and I may have to come back on one or more occasions to obtain the full information to maximise the clients refunds. This correspondence may be before I make my estimate and/or during the completion of the final tax return. I believe it to be in my clients best interest to question any point which could bring to light other information that is relevent.

When you authorise me to act as your agent, you are only committed to that one tax year. If you are not satisfied with that year's return, you are quite free to go elsewhere but I am sure that you will wish to return year after year.
